Gabriel had been awake for over and hour and couldn’t go back to sleep, but that didn’t bother him a bit at the moment. The alarm clock on his nightstand said that it was around three in the morning, but he wasn’t worried about that. He was a Watcher for a living. They didn’t exactly do early hour days.
What had all of his focus at the moment, however, was Deanna. They had done rather…unspeakable things to each other a few hours before, and then had fallen asleep. Right now he was awake, though, and didn’t have the heart to move because then that would disturb her, and then he wouldn’t be able to watch Deanna sleep like he was doing now.
She was laying on her side, facing away from him. While normally, as a male, he may focus on the wonderful view that it gave him of her ass (and it WAS a wonderful view), right now he was focusing on less attention grabbing, but still magnificent things. He was actually quite fascinated by the curve of her hip. She had a perfect body that he could barely keep his hands or eyes off her. He lifted up a finger and traced it down her side, sighing softly at the feel of her soft skin under the pad of his finger.
Resting his hand on her waist, he leaned over and nestled into her neck, breathing in her scent, smiling as he felt her long blond hair tickle against his face. She smelled like roses and sunshine to him. Sunshine that he didn’t get to see all that often, due to his job. He didn’t need to see the sunshine, though. Deanna was the sunshine in his life. |

History: Gabriel's parents were from England, but not officially affiliated with the Council. His father was a Byblos demon, and his mother was a human. Once he found out what he was, he was very interested. He developed an interest in all things occult. It was when his parents caught him trying to conjure up a Tylak demon (which he had no idea what one was, much less that it was three stories tall and ate humans for lunch) that they knew they needed to find some way to guide him. Eventually, he was introduced to the Watcher's Council.
He quickly rose through the ranks at the Watcher's Accademy. His first assignment was a potential slayer named Kimberly. Unfortunately, the girl was in deep denial. She refused to believe what she was. Eventually, she was stalked and killed by one of the things that she refused to believe in, a vampire. Not long after that, he got a call from Rupert Giles, asking him to come to LA.
The girl he was put in charge of was a college girl named Kayla Barnes. The girl, while in a bit of denial at first, was at least more accepting of it than his former charge had been. However, she was quickly hurt by some demon that invaded dreams. He was worried that she would turn out like Kimberly, dead. However, she was able to recover.
It was this that made him start to realize that, this time, he had some feelings for his Slayer that he shouldn't be having. She had recently broken up with her girlfriend as well, so maybe this was the opportunity for him to tell her, if he didn't let propriety get in his way. When he did tell her, they dated for a little while, but Kayla also dated a friend of hers at the same time, eventually choosing the friend over him to date. It took him a little while for him to move on from the hurt, but he is going to continue being her Watcher, and her friend.
Personality: Gabriel by nature is a quiet and introverted man. He would much rather have his nose in a book than be running around and swinging a sword at something's head, although he's more than capable of doing that as well. He has a lot of regret at what happened to Kimberly as well. While young, in a Watcher sense, he has the personality and attitude of a much older man. He is also impossibly smart, and doesn't always realize that no one else but him wants to hear about the mating habits of the Shlysok demon. He tends to develop 'crushes' on women easily, and is attracted to strong women. |
